Checklist

Compliance Checklist for Your Swimming Pool and Spa

On 1 December 2019 the State Government introduced new laws with the aim to improve swimming pool and spa safety. It is now mandatory that an owner of a Swimming Pool or Spa must register with their Council and arrange for a Registered Building Practitioner or Swimming Pool Inspector to conduct a Compliance Inspection.

We recommend you conduct a self-assessment of the Safety Barrier prior to engaging an inspector, this may save you time and money. Below are easy to follow checklists developed by the Victorian Building Authority. They can also be referred to at any time to maintain compliance throughout the years in-between inspections.

If you require assistance in making repairs to your Pool Barrier, we can provide you with solutions as well as contact numbers of relevant and qualified trades people.

Important Note:

These checklists do not replace the inspection conducted by a qualified Swimming Pool Inspector. They only serve as your preliminary guide.
